My Birthday Bear Too

Aunt Beth is apparently not the only person that is aware that Daddy calls me Bear. You might remember from a year ago that we were at Aunt Liz and Uncle Eliot's for Supper Club. Well, we were back tonight, and they gave me a big surprise. Angie and Mia had spent all day cooking up another birthday bear cake for me. Brown, not pink this time. Also, cupcakes with my name on them. As you can see, I had a grand old time eating my cake, made quite a mess, and also a great time playing with my friend Mia who had worked so hard for me. Thanks everyone for making my birthday special.

My Birthday Bear

My name is Stella, but for some reason, Daddy has called me Stella-bear, or often just Bear for most of my life. Well, my nice Aunt Beth decided to anthropomorphise that for my birthday. She created a very cute pink bear to signify my first birthday. I'm told that she worked very hard on it, she must have to detail down to the descrepancy of pads between front and back paws. You can see the cake here, and then a picture of me getting ready to dive into it with all my friends and relatives. Thanks everyone for making me feel special on my day.

My Upcoming Birthday

I have a one year birthday coming up. For this event, M&D are throwing me a party and inviting over all of my favorite people. Sunday afternoon, 31 people will be converging on my house, all coming to see me. In advance of this, we have lots to do around our house. I'm being as helpful as I know how to be. For example, this was me helping Mommy unload the dishwasher yesterday. I like helping.

My Inaugural Ball

I'm not sure if I will ever be inaugurated for anything, but I fully expect to be coronated one day. But this is not really my inaugural ball, but instead Mayor Dwight Clinton Jones'. M&D got an invitation from their friend Mark to go the inauguration ball. This is me reading my book, sitting in my chair while Mommy packs up my bags. I went to stay with Meme and Big G last night. M&D got all gussied up in ties, taffeta and tuxes for a big night out. They met friends at the Giavos new place at the National for dinner and then made their way down to the convention center for the gala. Daddy even got to meet the mayor who was washing his hands next to him in the men's room. Go Daddy, way to be hygenic! Anyway, I had a nice time at my grandparents. I even got a diaper change from Big G, who knew he knew how to do that? Big G dropped me off this morning and I got to hear all of the stories.

My Post Christmas Wrap-up

Well, my first Christmas finally ended. Friday night, Uncle Eliot and Aunt Liz came over for a spell to do belated Xmas gifts. They brought all kinds of bounty from Schwarzchild. I even got my very own ornament to put on the tree next year. Mommy put all of the Christmas gear away for next year, but I still have my pretty blue ribbon that wrapped it all up to play with. Let's see how slobbery I can make this ribbon!

My New Year's Resolutions

Everyone came over for NYE which Daddy tells me is his abbreviation for New Year's Eve. I guess when you are a blogger, you should be able to write in short hand. Anyway, Uncle David and Aunt Beth, Meme and Big G, of course M&D and me, and Emily and Charlotte came over for the festivities. Uncle David and Meme cooked lobsters and everyone had some champagne. I tried to make it up to midnight, but is was just too late for this little girl. Apparently it was too late for my cousins, but they made it anyway. I only have a couple of NY resolutions, dress as pretty as my Meme as seen here, and be as cool as my cousins! They rock.

My Reign of Queens III

M&D and I had not seen the boys in a while. Daddy had cooked a big pot of turkey stew with the remnants of the Xmas turkey, so we decided to have all the boys over. Scott, Alan and Larry all came over and had stew with us, unfortunately, they did not have Stu with them. It was nice catching up and seeing everyone on a quiet Tuesday.
