My Godliness

Daddy always says "Cleanliness is next to Godliness". Mommy must not believe this because she doesn't shower unless she has to. Anyway, Daddy snapped this picture of me right after my shower. I'm sitting in my chair playing with my toys, and I have a shiny face. That's actually because I have vaseline all over my face. See, my sensitive skin is getting chapped by the cold air. I'm all red on my cheeks, chin, and lips, so Daddy rubbed me down to try to get me to heal. I'm looking forward to being healed so that I don't reflect the flashbulb anymore in my pictures.

My Boy Cousins

On Mommy's side, everyone has all boys. That gives me boy cousins, Turner and James (and yet to be met boy cousin due in July) and they are very rough and tumble. M&D had Clay and Steph and their boys over for dinner Sunday, so I got to play with my boy cousins. Daddy said that he heard once that little girls think "if I do this, will it hurt?" little boys think "if I do this, will I survive?" That seems to be the case the way that they were cruising up the halls in my princess scooter. As you can see from my picture, I like the attention I get from my boys!

My Dinosaurs

Daddy has been working on a project for me and it finally got finished today. He put up a chalkboard/magnetic board for me to play with. See, our fridge is stainless steel and doesn't hold magnets. So in a bid to try to teach me not to draw on the walls, Mommy asked Daddy to work on this for me. Who knew that they made magnetic paint? So Daddy put it up and framed it in for me over the last few days. You may not be able to tell from the picture, but the top corners are trim pieces that are stars for me. Mommy says that Stella comes from the Greek for star, so those are mine. Anyway, very happy with my new toy, can't wait until Mommy gives me some chalk to play with. Right now, I only have my magnetic dinosaurs, but I'm happy with those.

My Munchkin

Really, I should title this post My Silly Daddy, but I just rolled with it. See, a while ago, I got my inflatable rubber ducky tubby that has been summarily showcased here. It's made by a company called Munchkin. They sent us a sticker with it that said "I love my Munchkin" and challenged us to stick it somewhere interesting. They further enticed us to send in a picture and they might use it on their website. Well, Daddy stuck my Munchkin sticker to his kegerator and had Mommy take a picture of us next to. We sent in the picture to the Munchkin people, but strangely, they haven't responded or used the picture in their advertising. What's the problem, do I not look cute enough in the picture or something?

My War Wounds

Well, I guess technically they are not war wounds, but at the very least they are battle scars. The battle was waged between nurse Edith and me. See, it was my one year check up with Dr. McKenna, and apparently that includes turning me into a pincushion. If you look at my picture here, you'll see band aids adorning my arm and my leg. There's one on my other arm too, but I couldn't figure out a way to get it into the picture. These are my three shots that I got yesterday from Nurse Edith. Daddy says that Nurse Edith was also his shot giver when he was little, not sure whether to believe that or not. I might have lost the battle, but I made sure her victory was Pyrrhic, I came away with the scars, but she had to listen to me scream. Plus, I got Dora and Diego band-aids.

My Pantless Sunday

It's Sunday afternoon and I'm not wearing any pants. Sometimes a girl just needs to kick back and say, "I am not putting on pants right now". And it's not because Meme took them either. I just wanted to showcase my christmas present from Aunt Alice. It's a commemerative t-shirt stating that I rolled the Richmond half marathon, and the date that Daddy and I did it. Very proud.

My Coming Cousin

Uncle Andy and Aunt Brooke came over for dinner last night. They told me at Christmas that I had a surprise coming, July 4th I should have a new cousin to meet. Aunt Brooke is going to be a great mom, she already knows how to hold me just like Mommy does, I don't even fuss. If you look at her holding me, you can just see the baby bump poking out. Hoping for a girl cousin, Uncle Andy deserves one at any rate.
