So today mommy took me to visit daddy's work. It was in a big building surrounded by other big buildings, we took the elevator up. Once we got there, we saw daddy briefly, but were immediately surrounded by a swarm of crazy ladies. They were clawing at each other and fighting over me. Daddy says he wished ladies would have ever done that over him. Then we walked down to a restaurant and had lunch. M&D looked like they were enjoying themselves, so I decided to be good and not break the mood. After that, mommy had an appointment. Since we were up at MCV, we dropped by her work too. This picture was not taken at her work, but it does feature me with her friend Suzanne that she works with. We saw Suzanne again today. Lots of other people too. I was a good girl today, M&D hope it lasts, but little do they know I'm just saving up my energy for 3am!

My Sunday Brunch
I decided that I would throw a little brunch to welcome my upcoming friend Mia. She should be here in about three weeks, though her mommy is trying to get her to come sooner, I guess she's just anxious to meet her. We did brunch at my house today for friends Chad and Angie, far right and far left of both pictures respectively. Angie is the one in the green with Mia sticking out of her belly. I didn't quite get everyone in the pictures here, but I didn't want to seize up blogspot by using too much bandwidth. From left to right, we have Liz, Laura, Chad, Angie, mommy, Jason, and Haz's hand and leg. Not pictured are D and E. But they were there. Angie got a Hooter Hider to be able to feed Mia without the creepy guy in the corner watching, or so said Chad. I wonder if he was referring to daddy?
My Aunt Nancy
I call a lot of people Aunt. Some of them are, some of them are friends of M&D's, some of them I just like a lot. This picture depicts my great Aunt Nancy. Now of course, she is great, but she gets the official title because she is daddy's Aunt. She drove to Richmond from Covington just to see me. It's a harrowing journey, mostly heralded by dodging big trucks on I-81. Aunt Nancy has another half, that's my great Uncle Nick. Uncle Nick was unable to come. He is down in Mexico with Habitat for Humanity building houses for people who don't have them. I will get to see Aunt Nancy and meet Uncle Nick in a couple of weekends. Mommy and Daddy are taking me near Covington to the Homestead to stay for a night. Nick and Nancy are going to come see me there. I also get to meet my cousins Mary Ann and Chris that weekend. More on that as I get closer.

My Big Weekend
Sorry I've been away so long, I've been very busy this weekend and just have had a ton of time to get to the computer. Friday I spent the day at Aunt Beth's. She explained a little more about hitting the sauce. Still not sure I get it, but Aunt Beth told me I have to be at least 15 before she'll let me hit it. Guess I have time to understand. Friday night daddy cooked dinner for mommy for a belated valentine's day. Rack of lamb, yummy. Saturday night, we had a baby friendly baby shower at my Uncle Colin and Aunt Tara's. They have a nine month old daughter Lily who I want to be just like when I grow up. She's so pretty with big eyes. M&D took me on a long walk yesterday in the nice weather. Daddy's friend Bryan came over to meet me and help daddy with his kegerator. Sorry I didn't get any pictures. My cousins Turner and James came over with DeeDee and Pop. Then mommy's friend Mary came over for the second time this weekend. To top it all off, mommy's sister Susie came over and stayed for a long time. It's nice to see so many people. Daddy didn't have to work today, so he and mommy made margaritas and daddy cooked shrimp and crab etoufee. Mmmm, tastes like summer in February. Well, enough on my Saturday and Sunday, if I get a chance later, I'll detail my Monday too.

My Aunt Beth
I'm so excited for Friday. Mommy is going in to work because they need her for this one day. Luckily, my Aunt Beth is available to watch me, daddy says that's because she doesn't really work. As you can see from this picture, Aunt Beth is lots of fun. The one in the top hat and cane is Aunt Beth, closely shadowed by my Aunt Kim who lives in Atlanta. Daddy says that Aunt Beth had hit the sauce heavily the night of this picture. I don't really understand what that means. I helped daddy make hollandaise sauce for eggs the other day, and it didn't seem to be as much fun as Aunt Beth makes hitting the sauce look here. I hope we get to hit the sauce on Friday. If I end up with pictures of me in a top hat, I will definitely post them!
My Poopy Daddy
These pictures are just gratuitous cute baby pictures nothing to do with my story. So last night, daddy's changing me and makes the mistake of commenting aloud how pleased he was at the lack of activity in my diaper. Remember my comment the other day about showing M&D what I could do to a white onesy? Well, I did that, except I did it to daddy. You should have seen how surprised my utterly defenseless daddy was. He didn't even have a baby wipe in his hand to protect himself. He grabbed one soon enough, but that measly one wasn't going to do him very much good. He got me mostly clean, handed me off to mommy to finish the process so rudely interrupted, and disappeared upstairs for half an hour. I heard him tell mommy later that he took a shower, and then burned his clothes. Not sure if he was joking.

My Lost Friend
Well, actually Jen was never really lost, just her picture. In daddy's zeal to get all of the pictures properly downloaded, he accidentally put some of them in the wrong folder. This picture of mommy's work friend Jen did not end up in the correct file. I found it today and am correcting that wrong since I try to post pictures of everyone who comes to see me. It ended up with some some pictures of me after a tubby the other night, but again daddy told me that the internet is not now, nor ever, the proper forum for naked pictures of me. So here's me in my modest white onesy. I'll show them what I can do to a white onesy! Anyway, Jen told mommy that she'd be happy to keep me if M&D ever want to go out on date night. Looking forward to that!
My Visitors Redux
I keep thinking that my popularity might wane, but every week has continally brought new people to meet. M&D's old next door nieghbors, Erin and Noah, dropped by the other night and brought pasta. Yum! They seemed a little baby-struck when they left. Not sure if that's good or bad. Then early on Friday, my grandma Mogie and Aunt Annie came by to see me, I had met both of them several time before, glad they like me enough to come back! Then Daddy's work friend Jim and his wife Boo came by on Friday afternoon. Boo's been though four grand babies just like me, she held me and I stayed quiet for almost an hour. Saturday night, Daddy's work friend Matt and his wife Beth stopped by to meet me. They were too terrified to hold me, so no pictures for them. How do they think I'm going to publish them without pictures? Daddy told me that friends Chad and Angie are supposed to come by today. Angie's supposed to have a little girl playfriend for me sometime in early March. Can't wait to meet her. I'll be back later with pictures if they will pose for some. I assume they are less afraid of me than Beth and Matt, probably because they're going to have their own soon.

My Pink Polka Dots
I got a bath again last night. I'm getting better at those, I barely cried and I didn't wet my towel. Daddy says he likes clean smelling babies, then he went and dressed me in my pink polka dots. I've been wearing mostly premie clothes because I'm so small, but I must be getting bigger, these were a little snug on me.
Update: It's true I am getting bigger. I went to the doctor today for my 2 week check in and he weighed me. I'm finally more than I weighed when the stork brought me to mommy's hospital room. I tipped the scales at a whopping 6 lbs 15 oz. Up more than a pound from a week ago, and four oz. more than birth weight. Yay! Daddy says he's excited for me, but says I'll be upset when this happens to me fifteen years from now.
My Aunt Jane
More correctly, I guess I should say my great aunt Jane or my daddy's aunt Jane. She came to visit me recently. Less than a year ago, her daughter Mary Ann had a little girl delivered by stork, just like mommy and daddy. Ellie will be turning one in March, and as I understand it, she just said her first word "Dewey" which is her doggie. I'm looking forward to meeting my older cousin.

My First Outing
Daddy came home for lunch today. He
met with the life insurance man who tried to scare him into buying more by using little old me! Daddy had to go back to work after that, presumably to make enough money to pay for the insurance he just bought. So mommy took me shopping for the first time. We went to the store with a great big bullseye out front, not sure why, but mommy told me it's called Tahrjhay. She told me we had to go because we had entirely too much money in our checking account again. After daddy came home we went for a walk. I like walks in warm weather, daddy says it will get cold again, that sucks! Mommy carried me in the over the shoulder sling, I'm still deciding if I like that more or less than the jog stroller. I guess like most of life, it's just different. I can't wait for summer, daddy says there's something called "pitchers of margaritas on the front porch" I'm excited to learn more!

My Pop and DeeDee
I've introduced you to my family on daddy's side, but now it's time to showcase a little of mommy's side. Somehow, I had neglected to snap any pictures of them until now. Saturday, daddy had a 15 mile race he was running (don't ask me, I think he's crazy too) so mommy and I dropped him off at the start point. We then drove over to mommy's daddy's house for a photo op with Pop and DeeDee. They've been excited about my arrival for a long time. DeeDee even added me to her license plate before she even met me! It reads DeeDee 3, for me, Turner and James from one of my aforementioned posts. We stayed there for a while, and then went to see daddy finish up parts of his race. We saw him at mile 12, and he looked rough, but not so bad as he did at the finish. He whined to mommy about how much he hurt for the rest of the day. Good for mommy, she told him to "suck it up"!
My Daddy's Friends
Alright, so I am being a little disingenuous here, some of these are mommy's friends too, but I thought the title "My Mommy and Daddy's Friends come to Visit this Weekend" was a little long, I don't want to screw up the margins. The first picture is daddy's fraternity brothers, Jonny Mac, McKee and Benny who came to meet me Friday. Josh McKee has twin boys due in two months, in addition to his son Ian, can't wait to have friends to play with! Uncles Jon and Benny came in from Maryland and Va. Beach respectively with their significant others. The next two pictures are Aunt Abby and Uncle Erik and their twin girls Josie and Riley. They came over for lunch on Saturday, how am I the only one who doesn't have a twin?
